Ashley Coale is a sustainability and social sector strategy consultant with Edelman’s Business + Social Purpose practice based in Portland, Oregon. She is passionate about improving social business and sustainability practices, and has led the development of social and sustainability platforms for Fortune 500 companies, international foundations and NGOs.
Ashley’s interests range from corporate social responsibility and social entrepreneurship to collective impact and international development. Her clients have included UN Global Compact, Conservation International, Vulcan/Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, Heineken, Adobe, SAP, Chevron Corporation and Western Union. Ashley serves as the day-to-day support and strategic counsel for various social investments across the globe, including leading numerous research assessments, market entrance strategies and stakeholder engagement. Results of her work have included improved positioning within key markets and raised profile of resource, energy and social programs.
Ashley holds an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a BA in Political Science and French from Wellesley College. She is currently a candidate for an MBA in sustainability at the Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Seattle.
As part of stok’s Strategy team, Devon supports clients in developing and implementing sustainability programs related to their buildings’ performance and impact. Devon enjoys being a part of large scale efforts and helping clients align with their broader strategic goals. Her experience has focused on creating customized sustainability assessments and action plans, and developing green building and sustainability-related resources and curriculum. In addition, she has facilitated LEED certification via strategy guidance, technical assistance, and documentation for clients in the U.S. and internationally.
Devon holds an MBA from Presidio Graduate School, a BA in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College, and a Certificate in Permaculture Design from High Altitude Permaculture. Prior to joining stok, she worked as a sustainability consultant at YR&G in their New York and Denver offices, and most recently lived in Santiago, Chile where she explored sustainability projects from an international perspective. Outside of the office, she enjoys yoga, hiking and snowboarding, and connecting with her community.
Emily Olson is an experienced accounting and finance professional with roots in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. As a licensed Certified Public Accountant and former Auditor for a nationwide public accounting firm, her experience transcends many areas including risk management, mergers and acquisitions, Sarbanes-Oxley, business continuity planning, and accounting for the triple bottom line. Emily currently serves as a Controller for a 106 year community bank in the State of Washington.
Emily is currently pursuing her MBA in Sustainable Systems from Bainbridge Graduate Institute and anticipates graduating June 2015. When away from the computer, she spends time advocating for animal welfare, gardening, exploring the Northwest and traveling.
Katie Dunn is the Senior Strategist at Walden Hyde, a brand strategy and design agency based in Boulder, Colorado. In this role, she merges consumer and cultural insights with client goals and brand attributes to identify new opportunities for growth and sustainability.
Katie earned her MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco. Prior to graduate school, she spent many rainy nights hiking through thickets of rhododendron while fostering leadership skills and facilitating team and personal development as an instructor at the North Carolina Outward Bound School.
Nathan Havey founded Thrive Consulting Group in 2012 to help make conscious business the new business as usual. In the past two years, more than 30 organizations across 15 states have hired the Thrive team to help refine their purpose and create a program to achieve it. Nathan believes that conscious companies will create the world in which we all want to live.

Scott Dunbar works as an Assistant Attorney General at the Colorado Department of Law, where he practices energy and public utilities law on behalf of the people of Colorado. Scott has a law degree and a masters degree in energy policy from the University of Colorado and previously worked for an energy-efficiency research and consulting firm. He studied philosophy and the Great Books at St. John's College in Santa Fe, NM, and after graduating in 2005, he lived and worked in Moscow, Russia and Stuttgart, Germany. Scott grew up surfing with his sister in Southern California and now spends most of his weekends snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking in the mountains of Colorado. He is also passionate about reading and exploring the world with his wife, Meghan, Conscious Company Magazine's Editor-in-Chieftess.

She is a long-time resident of Boulder, Colorado where she is active in local and regional business, community and philanthropic organizations advancing education, energy, environmental, and healthcare causes.
David is a consumer-marketing strategist whose clients include magazines like Scientific American, Inc., and Fast Company, as well as membership organizations such as the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). David has a history of creating opportunities for new business. Back in New York City, he launched an international film festival for one media industry employer, and an advertising agency for another—securing revenue from clients like Tiffany & Co, Casio, and Ralph Lauren. He also developed new membership programs for HarperCollins, ran digital strategy for The New Yorker, Wired, and Bon Appetit magazines at Condé Nast, and developed new membership channels on the YMCA’s Board of Managers.
David has a degree in Psychology from Vassar College and is currently pursuing his MBA at CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. When he’s not studying or running advertising programs for his clients, he spends his free time playing with his dog and chickens, cooking and training for marathons with his wife, and working on his RUNLIFE project.
